Life Illustrated - Personal Hand Drawn Story Illustration From Your Photo

Each Life Illustrated piece is hand-drawn by Andrea from start to finish, working carefully from the photograph you upload.

Andrea begins by sketching your scene by hand using a digital stylus and tablet, capturing the character, posture, and emotion of the moment — the people, places, and details that make it yours.

She then builds the artwork in layers, adding colour, depth, and atmosphere by hand, while staying true to the feeling of the original photograph.

Because the whole process is created digitally, the turnaround is quicker, while every line is still drawn individually by Andrea's hand, simply in a modern medium.

You'll receive a watermarked preview of your finished illustration by email to approve before anything is printed. Once approved, your piece is professionally produced as a fine art print, unframed or framed, in your chosen size.

Once I receive your photo, I begin hand-drawing your Life Illustrated piece digitally. Most illustrations are completed within around three to five working days, and I'll always email you a watermarked preview to approve before anything is printed.

Once you've approved the final artwork, it moves straight into production with my professional print partner.

In most cases you can expect:
• Print Only orders to arrive within approximately 7–12 working days from photo upload
• Mounted & Framed orders to arrive within approximately 10–18 working days from photo upload

These timeframes include both the creation of your illustration and professional printing and delivery. As every piece is made to order, timings are always approximate. If you're ordering for a special occasion or working to a particular date, please get in touch before you order — I'll always do my best to help.

From the very beginning, I want you to feel completely happy and confident about your Life Illustrated artwork.

Before anything is printed, I'll email you a watermarked preview of your illustration. This is your chance to request small refinements — perhaps a subtle colour adjustment or a minor detail tweak.

Because each piece is hand-drawn carefully from your chosen photograph, I'm not able to make major redraws or structural changes at this stage, but I'll always do my best to make thoughtful, reasonable refinements where I can.

If for any reason we can't reach a version you're happy with, I'll offer a full refund before the artwork goes to print.

Once you've approved the final version and it moves into production, it becomes a printed-to-order commission and refunds are no longer available.

If you're unsure about your photo before ordering, you're always welcome to send it to me first — starting with the right image makes all the difference.

• The artwork is created at high resolution and composed at A4 proportions, in portrait or landscape to best suit your photo.
• A4, A3, and A2 options are professionally produced as giclée fine art prints.
• Prints are made with archival pigment inks on 100% cotton paper, chosen for its subtle texture, rich colour depth, and longevity.
• Mounted and framed options are available in white, black, or natural wood finishes.
• Each frame includes a clean off white mount and lightweight acrylic glazing for a refined, gallery-style presentation.
• All printed and framed artworks are produced to order and fulfilled by our professional print studio.

All sizes refer to the approximate artwork size. The mount and frame are added around this.

All artworks are printed at standard A sizes and may be portrait or landscape, depending on your photo.

Print only artworks include a subtle, considered border, allowing room for mounting without impacting the artwork.

Framed artworks include an off white mount and a white, black, or natural frame, finished to a clean, gallery-style standard.

If you don't yet have a photo, that's absolutely fine. You can place your order first and send the image later, either when you're ready or when the recipient is ready to share it.

If this is a surprise, I'm very happy to help keep it that way. You can add a short gift note at checkout, and if you'd like, I can email the recipient with a gentle message inviting them to send their photo without revealing too much.
