One summer afternoon, I was at my mum’s house when I noticed a dragonfly land on her little garden statue.

It just stayed there for a moment, completely still, as if it had chosen that exact spot on purpose.

I remember thinking how easy it would have been to miss. If I’d looked away, it would have gone.

I took a photo because something about it felt special. Not dramatic. Not planned. Just… perfect in its own quiet way.

Later, I couldn’t stop thinking about it, so I decided to paint it.

This piece is about noticing those tiny moments that don’t ask for attention, but stay with you when you do.

Sometimes, all it takes is just for a moment.
