I painted Things Still Bloomed during a quiet moment in the studio, when everything felt uncertain and time seemed to move differently. It was created during the summer of lockdown, when access to the outside world felt limited and moments of calm became something we noticed more deeply.

This piece came from a need to focus on what was still growing, still opening, still quietly present, even when so much felt paused. The colours and forms were built slowly, layer by layer, allowing the painting to unfold in its own time.

For me, this artwork is about gentleness and resilience. About noticing small signs of life and beauty when they matter most. I hope it offers a sense of calm, space to breathe, and a quiet reminder that even in stillness, things continue to bloom.
